Elevision, elephant journal’s weekly live2video talk show, started when folks kept asking our ed-in-chief, Waylon Lewis, if they could come listen to him interview famous mindful folks for our magazine. Every time Waylon sat down with Deepak Chopra, Amy Goodman, Paul Hawken, Rabbi Zalman Shalomi-Schachter, Alice Walker…there were three or four or five friends and colleagues listening in from a nearby couch. So Waylon, in one of his few cognizant moments ever, decided to take the interviews out of his living room and into the public sphere. Our talk show started in the backyard of the historic Trident Café just last summer, with anywhere from 10 to 100 folks attending ( videos on our site). Then we moved to our favorite bar, Trilogy, which actually has a stage and speakers…and after weeks of texting and wrangling and bribing our friends to come, we’ve now been standing-room-only for five straight weeks—that’s an average of 125 guests, a grand total of 500 guests over the month.
WHAT’S UP: Every Wednesday on the back stage at Trilogy Lounge: Live interviews with people worth listening to, organic drinks, networking and live music afterparty. Come for the enlightenment. Stay for the organic/local drink specials, live music & mingling. Come at 6:30 for music and drinks and to grab a seat (they go fast); show begins 7pm sharp.

Not in Boulder, poor soul? Watch recent videos: Buddhist professor Dr. Judith Simmer-Brown on relationships, Exiled Professor Adreinne Anderson on toxic sludge and bestselling author Natalie Goldberg on how to write memoir.
