The phthalates contained in most yoga mats are known to cause cancer and stunt sexual development…probably not what you want to think about when sinking into corpse pose at the end of class.

    i have been doing yoga for about a year and a half now and have always used the pvc mat. It is good to know that it can cause health problems. especially at my age, so that way when i become an adult i will not go to the doctor’s and be diagnosed with cancer. now i know that not all the time people will get cancer but it is better to be safe then sorry. :)

I wanted something that I wouldn’t feel guilty about owning or wouldn’t someday be the reason I got cancer.
