I've been browsing online greater than 3 hours as of late, yet I by no means found any fascinating article like yours. It's lovely value sufficient for me. In my view, if all website owners and bloggers made good content as you did, the web will probably be much more helpful than ever before.

Perhaps these depictions, as "false" as they are, are more realistic than we would like to admit- I do not doubt there are many "Buddhists" who practice their philosophy "buffet style", picking what they choose (meditation, inner contemplation, etc.) and disregarding what is "inconvenient" (love for all creatures, seeing the balance between compassion and wisdom, etc.). Just trying to "conquer my inner fear" to quote Ras Al Gul, by responding. Thanks for the list, it's very good.

Love the number 1 pick. I saw this movie in a theatre in Thailand and that whole scene was cut out by the censors for defaming Buddhism. Hollywood could at least attempt to get it right.

Interesting list, sir! It's true the depiction of Buddhism/Buddhists in Hollywood is appallingly simplified and stereotyped. This happens with many religions and beliefs that aren't "mainstream" in America.

Chris Latkowski at 4:35pm December 26
thank you for posting this. i am often horrified by the horrendous depictions of Buddhists in Hollywood films. i also find that they tend to throw all Buddhists into one bag which is absurd.
