With former Iowa Governor Tom Vilsack to be our country’s new Secretary of Agriculture, crucial Under Secretary positions are still open and Food Democracy Now! is working to send their “Sustainable Dozen” to Washington. As of this morning, 74,651 signatures had been collected on this petition, and they are looking to collect 100,000 by the Inauguration to send a strong message in support of a sustainable food system.
