Our Family

:::”Winter is for dreaming…”

We were trying to figure out what to do with all the leftover

Christmas crap,

and we started to think, “what is a family?”

good stuff, some of it.

(I didn’t do very well with Christmas this year…

Sorry mom…

I didn’t get the Christmas Card out, even though you tried…

now the cards you bought me are lying around everywhere)

What is a family?

Is it what you say about yourselves in a Christmas Card or annual letter?

…what is a family?

Mommy,

Daddy,

…and also, my friend David from college…

and anyone else who may have fallen upon hard times recently)

:::Daddy’s Winter Yummy Veggie Pasta Bake:::

Preheat oven: 375f

1/2 block of tofu

5 mushrooms

1 white onion

1) Saute above ingredients together in some oil,

and throw in a little paprika, basil, oregano, salt and pepper.

2) Boil some water,

throw in one crown of chopped brocolli

and half a 12oz box of rotini pasta, cover.

3) In a pan, put one can of cream of mushroom soup,

a couple of scoops of sour cream, a little nutmeg and some milk

(adjust ingredients s that the sauce becomes the consistency you like it.)

4) When the pasta and brocolli are finished cooking, drain them.

5) Put everything into a 9 X 13 pan. Top with lots of grated cheddar cheese,

and a good sprinkling of breadcrumbs.

6) Bake at 375 until the top is golden brown

(the shade of brown depends on how many breadcrumbs

Abilene Plum swiped off the top before daddy got it into the oven!)

YUMMY!
