Transcendental Meditation: Changing the World One School at a Time.

by Sarah Janelle Miller

What I look for in these crazy and uncertain times, are signs of upliftment, positivity and hope. Because of my own hellish experiences with various educational institutions growing up, I have a special place in my heart for creating big change in the school systems.

Thanks to the Transcendental Meditation Movement and David Lynch, this kind of change is becoming a reality. Paired with the David Lynch Foundation (an organization founded by David Lynch himself), the TM Movement is single-handedly turning disadvantaged and struggling schools into functioning, positive and beneficial educational institutions. Simply by teaching the Transcendental Meditation technique to students, teachers and faculty, transformation is occurring in schools around the world on a grass roots level.

This has had such a profound impact on improving test scores, increasing attendance, creating less violence and developing overall harmony, that hundreds of other schools and principals have suddenly taken notice.

So far, the TM Movement and the David Lynch Foundation have taught thousands of students, teachers and parents to meditate and the Foundation has given millions of dollars to make this possible.

For more information on how your school can be involved, you can contact the Foundation directly:
