In January, I stepped into the colorful and vibrant land of Hawaii for the first time. I hope these photos of Kauai and Oahu represent the Hawaii found beyond the veneer of tropical drinks and touristy beaches, and hopefully they capture the vivid life and amazing moments found lurking in the everyday explorations of regular people.

Hope you enjoy.
