What’s better than deliciously yummy smelling bath essentials? Ones that are local, organic, paraben and chemical-free, planet-friendly, energizing and nourishing.
Little Moon Essentials gets an A/A+ in my book. Their products range from bath salts to hand scrubs to lotions to salves and are filled with natural essential oils to energize and/or relax. Little Moon Essentials covers all the skin care bases while also caring for the environment—a percentage of proceeds are donated to environmental and community causes. The company strives for a positive, fun work environment in order to create truly natural body care that’s “Hilariously Good for You and the Planet too!”
But what’s so hilarious about Little Moon Essentials anyway?
While the ingredients are very serious, the attitude and intent of the company became to spread light, humor, and healing in a very unconventional way. By dedicating energy toward creating a “Joyful Workplace” and effective “Products for Planet and Peace”—Little Moon has created nothing short of a culture of loving kindness, laughter, and Planetary Stewardship. Naturally.
The package Little Moon sent me contained many (recyclable) bottles all shapes and sizes wrapped in brightly colored, vibrant tissue paper (no tape!) with biodegradable packing peanuts. I received a good variety of lotions, salves, mists, and bath salts.
Some of my absolute fave products I received are: Sleep Comes Easy Aromatherapy Mist and Salve, Shine On, Sugar! Moisturizing Exfoliant and Tired Old Ass Bath Salts. I’d also recommend the Asana Kisser Pain-Relief Salve for the yoga enthusiast.
I spray the Sleep Comes Easy Aromatherapy Mist on my pillow before bed every night and rub the Sleep Comes Easy Salve on my temples and chest. Scents of lavender, frankincense, lemon and coriander relax and sooth and leave me feeling refreshed in the morning. I can even smell the salve when I wake up which makes me feel even more reinvigorated.
Shine On, Sugar! is a great exfoliating scrub for all over the body. My dry, dry Colorado hands thank me after I give them a good rub with this sugar scrub. Made with organic raw sugar and organic oils, these sugar scrubs are “actually edible and delicious, as well as exfoliating and moisturizing heaven for the skin.”
Tired Old Ass Soak is perfect in a warm bath on a chilly night. With scents of eucalyptus, rosemary, and vetiver, the bath salts awaken and re-energize while also calming and soothing. I love the unique scent so much that I got a little carried away on pouring the salts into the bath and almost used the entire 4.4 oz bottle. Though, it was one good soaking.
One Suggestion: Little Moon, could you please make some natural soy candles?! I’d love if the scents could last longer. Like hours. mm.
The loud labels on the Little Moon bottles speak directly to the humor, creativity and fun behind the company. Not only are Little Moon Essentials bath and body care products natural and wonderful, but the company does the little things right which really make a difference.
On a side note, I’d like to let you know that as I’m writing this, I am spritzing myself with Clear Mind Aromatherapy Mist—an energizing mist of essential oils such as rosemary and pink grapefruit for mental awareness. And if you’re wondering if it works, I’ll be your proof. I got this blog done didn’t I?
