Walk the Talk Show Videos…

Wrap-up: Videos coming soon, and will be distributed to our Boulder-local and national network of web site pages totaling more than 1,000,000 unique viewers starting next week.

The first show, a dress rehersal, was rough around the edges (limited budget for dress rehearsal, since we chose to forgo sponsors for first show, endless audio challenges including staff issues, video challenges, a new talk show team, new band, not enough mics, no live streaming of event because of mission cameraperson, and first show in new venue..!) but full of laughter, and though we chose not to push attendance, the Performing Arts Center at Naropa University was full to the brim with mindful lifers.

In place of sponsor videos between each interview, we asked the audience to offer feedback, comments, suggestions—which were immensely helpful and re-inspiring after a tough, long night. As I (Waylon, the host) struggled to keep interviews to 8 minutes while touching on all relevant themes while achieving some depth, the interviews began to go beyond mere PR and had moments of spontaneous insight and humor.

Lindsey Cash, our event producer, worked her heart out, as did our video maestro Una Morera, longtime elevisionary Alex King, elephantjournal.com’s Lindsey Block, and many volunteers. It was a dry run as bringing the talk show genre to the foodie/yoga/spiritual/eco mission of living a good life and changing the world for the better.
