I had an extremely difficult time in grade school, to the point that, while my test scores were high enough, I was considered too much of a difficult case for the AT program that might've saved me from the remedial levels to which my grades led me...where, of course, I was more bored and less able to concentrate than ever. As such, I would certainly now be labed ADD, and perhaps even "learning disabled."

I did somewhat better in college, though, and a lot better at the Master's level, while, at the PhD level, I seemed to have a far easier time than most people, which would seem to make the "learning disabled" tag rather ludicrous.

As such, I have no doubt that there was nothing at all wrong with me, and a lot wrong with an educational system that failed to serve my learning style miserably.
