In response to elephant journal's reply to my comment on FB: I'm stoked you're reading feministing and happy to know that you're bringing feminism's voice to your readers. That is commendable. I understand your reference but it still isn't entirely accurate. There's tons of feminist activity happening on facebook, twitter, online blogs (listen to my most recent interview podcast on precisely that topic:http://tweetingfeminists.posterous.com/podcast-tweeting-feminists-episode-2-featurin). While that mainstream media still has a dysfunctional relationship with feminism, feminism is not as underground as your comment suggests. I've been teaching WS for almost ten years, the Feminist Majority Foundation connects people at campuses nationwide and is ultra hip, Bitch Magazine is hip and cutting edge. Sarah Haskins is great but there's more people making feminism funny, sharp and engaging than her alone.
