I love elephant journal. As long as war remains a for profit venture, I am highly suspicious of any "just war." If we took the profit motivation out, I wonder how long the conflicts would continue.

I'm so proud of Obama. He demonstrated one more time on the world stage, not only as a great leader but also a humble human being. We need more leaders like him in this 21 century which is full of people with violent, injustice, power hunger, vicious attacks, faults accusation, twisted truth and spread lies to get what they want. Obama not only win the respect of other leaders of the world, also his spirit out shine all his enemy. He is a true leader of the WORLD.

Sure, good point, but there are just justifications for war. Iraq, clearly, didn't meet that criteria. But going after Al Queda, Taliban…you can't say that's black-and-white right-or-wrong. Buddhism even has teachings on the necessity for war or violence as long as the intent is peace or protecting the innocent.
