Found your book (in northern CA) not long after its initial publication. It's OK for a description of being a messenger. Like the history a bunch, esp the bits about National City Lines and the way that the exponential growth in car quantity ultimately doomed the city that allows cars within its borders.

Good stuff. Hope to read more.
