Cleaning the fridge shows your loved one you care in a way that baking a chocolate dessert for them never can.

  1. Thank you for your beautiful posts, Joana! I love your art and the message of family love you send. It's so true—it is the little things you do for people you love (like cleaning the fridge) that matter!

thanks claire. I'm glad you liked it. I think I ruined it by letting it go on too long this time. And, Sorry about the volcano, I don't know where that came from! Only about love next time!

      • As a Montessori teacher, the diagram of the inside of a volcano actually holds a place in my heart :) Hey, you know, inner core to crust, it could be all be a metaphor!

        • Joana Smith Joana Smith says:

Montessori teacher, thanks for reading! metaphor, yeah. This was such a weird post. The reason I have been cleaning our house so much recently is because making a mess is what comes more naturally to me. I'm an artist (was an artist, now an artist/stay at home mom), But I'm finding that what my normal mess, plus kids and family make it get out of control! (plus, I'm holding usually a baby or toddler in one hand)!!! PLuS, plus, PLUS! PLUS! I'm feeling locked into my role! So many issues come up emotionally right now in my life that can only be released but only through my blog, and the volcano…metaphor…AHHHH! You've got me there. And I also think about the earth, what she must be thinking…feeling right now that she is so pressed with pollution on the surface! I feel that there is a spirit deep inside who is nauseated…….I once had a friend that said she couldn't feel her skin so she went to the ocean. And sometimes I find things on the ground that I pick up and scan, and it paints a picture of reality, or the stuff we find that we didn't put it there, it just came to be there ..somehow … and pick it up!*

Beautiful. So fun to read and see! Miss you and your beautiful family…(tons of thoughts of plum- smile). Love, IPHY
