Looking for some right livelihood? Check out this forward-thinking weekend teacher training, October 1 – 3 in Encino, CA. You’ll get hands-on practice teaching yoga and mindfulness to youth and families struggling with homelessness, poverty, abuse, addiction, trauma and behavioral challenges.

Learn about:
~the benefits of yoga for vulnerable populations
~the core needs of specific populations
~safe, compact & portable asana sequences
~new tools for improved communication
~appropriate boundaries & touch
~the importance of having a community of support for this work

The training is open to experienced yoga teachers as well as those new to yoga and is approved for 14 CEUs by the National Association of Social Workers and by Yoga Alliance. Mark Lilly, Executive Director and Founder of Street Yoga, will lead the workshop.

From Street Yoga’s website: Street Yoga gives youth and their caregivers the tools to overcome early life trauma, through the sharing of life-building mindfulness and wellness practices grounded in the ancient healing principles of yoga. We serve by helping them create a sense of true home in their own bodies, minds and communities.
