Boulder Green Streets: No Cars for a Day!?

BOULDER GREEN STREETS

Boulder Green Streets is a new event in Boulder whose mission is to turn public streets into a day to promote active living, sustainability and build community. Thank you to  Hillary Griffith for organizing the event.

Boulder, Colorado.

Sunday, September 19th.

8a.m.-4p.m.

East Pearl, 15th to Folsom.

(Elephant Journal will be on 17th and Pearl.)

Boulder Green Streets was inspired after the tradition Ciclovia that happens in Bogota, Colombia every Sunday. Over 2 million people in Colombia bike and play along 70 miles on a closed roadway. Boulder, Colorado is recreating this scene starting on 15th and Pearl all the way down to Pearl and Folsom encouraging biking, walking, games, yoga, dance, jui jitsu, climbing, roller soccer and much much more.

Come support Boulder’s hope to create a stronger community, encourage local vendors and bring friends and family together for a beautiful Sunday outing. Be the first to try one of the 50 new activities and enter drawings for a chance to win BIG prizes including annual gym passes, a new electric bike, gear and more! There will be live bands to keep up the beat, and amazing local food. Kids can come by for a free breakfast at 8 a.m. and are welcome to cruise by the bike decorating station to turn their bikes into their dream ride! A bike parade and a bike rodeo will follow so they can show off their new wheels.
