Every 90 seconds, a woman – most likely living in poverty – dies giving birth.
Ten years ago, the world’s leaders agreed to eight Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) as a global initiative to eradicate poverty by 2015. While significant advances have been made to fight poverty during this time, the goal aimed at decreasing maternal deaths has fallen far short of where it needs to be.
Help us reach our goal of sending 10,000 signatures to MDG Summit Presidents when they meet in New York the week of September 20th!
