Karma Comes Back to You Hard: Karma is Real.

The printmaking department at my university recently gave me a sign that I posted in my office that reads, “Good Karma.” It’s a beautiful print with purple flowers and long vines that wrap around the words. I’d like to think that what comes around goes around, but at the same time, I don’t like to wish harm on anyone. One of my favorite artists, Lauryn Hill’s song Lost Ones reads in part:

“Now don’t you understand man universal law
What you throw out comes back to you, star
Never underestimate those who you scar
Cause karma, karma, karma comes back to you hard.”

In an ideal world, I’d like to think that before someone does something spiteful, that he/she would recognize the pain that it would cause on the other person. There are countless incidences in my life when someone was negative towards me, the shadow of karma followed.
