The Most Beautiful Places on Earth…Right Here, Right Now.

Need a Staycation?  No need to even move!  Here are the top 10 Most Beautiful Places on Earth…

We live in a world blessed by natural sights and wonders that blow the mind.   Beyond the man made marvels of this world lie sights made by Mother Nature that words simply cannot describe.  Take a few moments to sit back, let out a sigh, and scroll through some of the most beautiful places on Earth.

1- The Grand Canyon, Arizona, U.S.A

5,000-feet deep, 277 miles long and up to 18 miles wide, The Grand Canyon has been speculated to have been carved out of the Earth by the Colorado River in Arizona over a period of approximately six million years.

2- Mount Fuji, Japan

Japan’s highest mountain, at 12,388 feet, is an amazing place to watch the sunrise. Mount Fuji is actually a dormant volcano, with it’s last eruption in 1708.

3- Hanging Lake, Colorado, U.S.A.

Near Glenwood Springs, Colorado is a beautiful mini-lake boasting waterfalls, all sparkling an extra turquiose color because of the mineral travertine that is in the water.  It’s also one of the only places where the yellow Columbine flower grows.

4- Machu Picchu, Peru

Rediscovered in 1911, these ancient ruins lie at 7,970 feet.  Meaning “Old Mountain”, Machu Picchu contains about 150 houses, baths, temples and palaces.

5- St Lucia, West Indies

In terms of romantic getaways, this is a top three, for sure.  There is a hotel here called the Ladera Resort where your room only has three walls: the fourth opens up to the ocean and sunset… complete with an infinity pool.

6- The Himalayas, Asia

Where Earth meets Sky… Mt. Everest and K2 are both here, as well.  The melted snow from “The Abode of Snow” quenches the thirst of three million people…

7- The Sahara Desert, Northern Africa

Sand; covering about as much area as the entire United States, and receiving, at most, about 3.9 inches of rain each year.

8- Milford Sound, New Zealand

One of the top destinations in the world, Milford sound is on the south-western coastline of New Zealand.  It rains so much that sometimes trees slide right off of the cliff tops into the water.

9- Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, Hawaii, U.S.A.

Located over 2,000 miles from the nearest continental land mass, the Hawaiian Archipelago is the most geographically isolated group of islands on Earth.  Hawaiian plants and animals began to evolve over 70 million years ago in nearly complete isolation and over 90% of the native terrestrial flora and fauna in Hawaii are found only in the Hawaiian islands.

10- The Iguazu Waterfalls, Argentina-Brazil Border, S. America

275 waterfalls along 1.67 miles of the border between Argentina and Brazil, this area is on the larger listing for the seven natural wonders of the World.
