John Main: Essential Writings (Modern Spiritual Masters Series)
By John Main, with introduction by Laurence Freeman

This book was my first exploration of Christian meditation pioneer and Benedictine monk John Main. As a Christian fairly new to meditation, I found the introductory biography very informational and not overwhelming. The outline and progression of the book was reader friendly, as I was eased into an understanding of Main’s perspectives. I’d recommend this book to any meditator, beginner or otherwise, any person interested in deepening their spiritual understanding, or as a historical/biographical reference to the life of John Main.
