A Contemporary Art Exhibition:

Boulder’s 15th Street Studio continues to attract world renowned artists and exhibitions.

Today 15th Street Studio features Betty Woodman, who has taught at CU Boulder and was a founding member of the Pottery Lab on University Hill. Betty Woodman’s fifty year career was featured at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and she is in the Denver Art Museum’s permanent collection.  Her vases are in museums around the world and the American ceramist has developed a partnership with Lyons, Colorado Master Printer Bud Shark.  The collaboration between Betty Woodman and Bud Shark has spanned two decades and they have worked together across medium- from monotype to woodcut and linotype.

On the 14th May “Asian Influences: A Contemporary Art Exhibition” opens
Betty Woodman’s work is joined by other world renowned artists in an exhibition “Asian Influences: A Contemporary Art Exhibition.”

On 14th May 2011 from 7.00 to 10.00 pm 15th Street Studio opens their doors for “Asian Influences: A Contemporary Art Exhibition”.  The works, feature signature pieces from Betty Woodman including “Chinese Pleasures” and a sensuous new piece by Enrique Chagoya, titled “The Perception of Time II”.  15th Street Studio will also have on display new works from Holualoa, Hawaii artist Hiroki Morinoue.

In addition to Hirkoki Morinoue, Enrique Chagayo and Betty Woodman, the Asian inspired exhibition also includes work by Tom Burckardt, Gayle Crites, Don Ed Hardy, Homare Ikeda, Robert Kushner, and Hung Liu.
