The most simple daily cleanse ever!

Make things simple.

For so long I have been wanting to do a cleanse to get rid of toxins and just feel better on a daily basis and nothing seemed to click with what I needed. For those who know me, my moto is simple. I need things to be simple in my life, and especially when it comes to learning something new, like how to do a cleanse, if it’s too complex and demands a big change in routine, like anyone I get discouraged. So here it is ‘The simple cleanse’.

The cleanse.

I learned about this cleanse from Maya Fiennes’s amazing book called ‘Yoga for real life’. Every morning, as soon as I get up, before my coffee, I drink a cup of warm water with fresh squeezed lemon juice. It’s delicious and it has become part of my routine. It’s my meditative time in the morning, I just sit with my cup in the silence of the morning and breathe as I let the liquid clean out my system. It is so simple yet so effective.

The benefits.

Lemon acts as blood purifier and improves the body’s ability to get rid of toxins. Lemons are excellent in fighting disease that’s related to infection. They are great for people with heart problem because of their high potassium content. They also help with the elimination process. Since I have started this about three weeks ago, I feel amazing. My digestion is so much better, the effect of my one coffee on my digestive system is also much better. I feel lighter during my day and guess what? I am eating less. It’s funny how toxins in your body seem to make you want to eat more and be less conscious of what and how you are eating. I feel like I eat only when my body needs it and I eat less.

So why not try it! It’s so simple and effective. If the lemon is too sour for you in the am, just add a little honey! Let me know how this cleanse is working for you on my facebook page, I would love to hear from you.

Happy Health!
