The Secret Ingredient Between the Artist & the Muse. Robert Sturman Photography

  • TEXT BY MEGAN MARIE ~ The Yogini In This Series

  • We headed into the North country in search of richness, ripeness, abundance. We wanted the season of mists and mellow fruitfulness.  We wanted blazing color.  We wanted to go deep. We swerved around a sharp corner, and nearly missed it. A farm. Living trees swaying in colors of crimson, persimmons and amber. A fallen yet sturdy dock in a mossy pond. A heavy sky, and soft gentle rain.

  •  We knocked on the door, and the farmer gave us free reign of the place. And that is when I felt it. I felt autumn breathing through me, in the colors, in the wind, in the earth, and in the rain.

  • The model has to “feel” something. She has to express through asana the relationship with herself, the artist, and the environment. It can be a dance or a dialogue, but the feeling has to be there in order for it to become poetry.

  • What I learned is the Model herself has to become an Artist.

Propelled by the autumn winds.

Fall is the artist.”

An embarrassment of talent and beauty–both model and artist!

ahhh – Bernieb means it in a great way – like saying it's ridiculous when its amazing. Lost in translation over international waters.
