Occupy Wall Street ignored? No.

The image/text above is irritating, silly, conspiracy-mongering…and fake (see comments for more).

~

Occupy Wall Street is Awesome. But the problem is those of us on the sidelines, not (most of) the media: just about all of us need to remember to learn how to read for more than 30 seconds at a time.

Let’s support the movement by…reading, participating…not just surfing Facebook casually and talking conspiracy.

The Tea Party has the exact same complaint: that the “left-wing media” ignores their vast, grassroots movement.

The Left loves to complain about corporate media controlling what The People see or hear.

As the saying goes, if both extremes are pissed at you, you’re doing something right.

So, on behalf of the Fourth Estate, I suggest you read a paper or reputable web site and STFU.

Everyone loves to blame the media…both sides…this has been on the cover of the NY Times and everything I’ve looked at for weeks. It’s awesome, inspiring, it gets ratings, there’s no reason media would ignore it—elephant, for example, doesn’t even have a writing staff (we’re non-corporate-backed media) and yet we’ve covered it incessantly—but seeing these claims that media aren’t covering Occupy Wall Street?

Silly, as far as I can tell—as silly as the Tea Party’s frequent claims that they don’t get covered.
