Poem: creepy but thoughtful.

I have been carving out pounds of sacred flesh, branding each one with a name and a portrait in perfect inflammation

This is a performance of a poem that’s been published in the Poetry of Yoga, an anthology including such celebyogis as Shiva Rea, Lilas Folan, Michael Stone, and Sharon Gannon. And…..me.

The poem is about a condition I have–dermatographica, which means if i trace a nail on my skin it will show up raised and bumpy. But it’s not as cool on me as it is on Ariana Page Russell, who really goes for it:

I’m impressed they chose this particular poem of mine because it’s so creepy. So you know the anthology is good.

And it’s for a good cause: One Common Unity.
