“Poet, You are the life of this life, and you have triumphed over the ages despite their severity.”

“For me, the Musician is the universal symbol of the Artist. While in deep gratitude and adoration of all of the arts,  music is the most mysterious and potent for me. I tried here and there to play but it never was natural to me. I decided later on that I had to love music SO MUCH, that I would have something to aspire towards visually. And if I can begin to approach that feeling music evokes, with a visual language of colors, shapes, tones and vibrations, then maybe I might be getting somewhere.” ~ Robert Sturman

All images from this series were created using a Polaroid process in which the artist carves into the surface of the image before the pigment in the film sets. Photoshop has not been used to alter these images.
