Could this be one of the answers to the home foreclosure crisis? Ken H. Johnson, Ph.D. from Florida International University and Editor of the Journal of Housing Research makes the case for why the federal government should hold onto their stockpile of foreclosed homes and lease them out.
” The program should slow down the flood of foreclosed properties and should help stabilize pricing as traditional home sellers will now have fewer foreclosures to compete against” according to Johnson in a post on the real estate blog Keeping Current Matters (KCM)
The idea makes some sense and the Obama administration is said to be considering it. Read his full blog post for more.
