It has been an amazing year. It has been a difficult year. While some wars are ending, until we all cultivate peace in our hearts, wars will continue to wage–within and without.

Happy Christmas, and here’s to waging peace in 2012.

So this is Christmas
And what have you done?
Another year over
And a new one just begun.

And so this is Christmas
I hope you have fun.
The near and the dear one;
The old and the young.

A very merry Christmas
And a happy New Year!
Let’s hope it’s a good one
Without any fear.

And so this is Christmas
For weak and for strong
For rich and the poor ones
The road is so long.

And so Happy Christmas:

For black and for white
For yellow and red ones
Let’s stop all the fight!

A very merry Christmas
And a happy New Year.
Let’s hope it’s a good one
Without any fear.

*love* that song – I used to listen to it each and every Christmas Eve as I counted over all the things that made me smile that year..

  3. […] There is a piece of all of us that wants to keep that magical glow of holy-day, no matter what religion we practice, what language we speak or what we call our tradition. There is an intrinsic piece of us that wants to be a light in the bleak midwinter, and to pass that light onto others. There is a part in each of us that wants peace on earth and goodwill towards men. […]
