Happy Darwin Day!

 Why celebrate Darwin Day?

Some thoughts from folks who celebrated last year:

Why Celebrate Darwin Day? from American Humanist Association on Vimeo.

As for me, I would rather reside in the unsteady knowledge that I have much more to learn and discover, than to find confident complacency in ignorance. It’s easy to latch onto the coattails of what someone else believes. It’s much harder to think for yourself, and keep thinking, keep growing, keep learning more.

“Ignorance more frequently begets confidence than does knowledge: it is those who know little, not those who know much, who so positively assert that this or that problem will never be solved by science.”

~ Charles Darwin.
