Please Love More.

Marianne Williamson says “Our deepest human need is not material at all: Our deepest need is to be seen.”

What do you think about that?

Since moving to Bali, I’ve never before felt more seen. It’s amazing. Liberating. Freeing. Blissful. Even through the hardships of my own spiritual detoxification, it’s all good. I’ll take on any karmic knot opportunity with wide open arms that is getting in the way of my own clarity and clear seeing.

The other week I sat with this young Balinese girl, probably eight years old or so, who was walking around, selling fruit from the top of her head. What your name? Chloe, what’s yours? Candice. Her English was perfect. I suppose from engaging with tourists and the like. We looked at each other and I got a rush of sensation in my heart. It’s the feeling of someone looking deep into your eyes and penetrating the inner being of your heart. It’s the look of stillness and peace. It’s the look of having no agenda, purity, and mutual acknowledgment of this moment we are sharing, right here, right now. It’s the look of unconditional love.

What I love about hanging out with children is that they’re not tainted by the workings of society quite yet so they’re completely themselves without any influence of outside forces. And then time and space happens and we grow up to be big kids, aka adults which is where the whole spiritual practice comes into place, untangling all that we’ve learned that gets in the way of who we really are versus who we think ourselves to be.

When we’re not seen, as humans we feel alone, separated, misunderstood and foreign. You know what I mean? How amazing is that connection when you find those people who “get it”– who get you. Whether it be with friends, lovers, or family, someone who sees you for who you are, not what they want you to be. Free of projection. Now that’s a real meeting. That’s when a real relationship or union has the opportunity to take place- when two beings come together as individuals to form a co-created relationship. It’s not about merging to become one another, it’s about coming together and creating another other.

Let us support one another and uplift one another and come together. It’s time. We’ve been separated for way too long. it’s time for the tribe of mankind to unite and be one. I mean, don’t you think this whole separateness thing has gone on for way too long? Life is so much better when love and support nourishes us. Let us not only cherish our own individual gifts, but see what the others in our lives have to offer. All of our gifts are different, of course they would be- if we were all good at the same thing life would be so boring. There’s no space for jealousy or negativity in this paradigm. Only uplifting and honoring.

Stay anchored in your own aspirations, always. But take it to the next level and ask yourself, how can I make the lives of those whom I love even better? What can I do to support them? What’s important in their world that I can show up in? How can I not only love myself but also give love to all those around me?

We are a very very intelligent species with a great great capacity to love. Live your life in love in and around all areas. You start to practice this concept of love and watch your life shift towards positivity and light. Really. Life meets you where your intention is at. Gandhi says, “Love is the subtlest force in the world.” Within the subtle lies great power.
