Dancing Climbing. {Video}

After this morning’s Walk the Talk Show interview with Congressman Tim Ryan (link to video coming), I went to lunch with the elephantjournal.com crew, and sat in our favorite hidden-away-yet-outside table at Kitchen Next Door.

At some point I happened to see a Haligonian mentor buddy of mine, Barry Boyce, lumbering down the street—he’s one of the best writers, leaders, and biggest hearts I know—and we walked over to the Boulder Book Store, where we met up with Congressman Ryan and Jim Gimian, as well as David Bolduc, another Buddhist who’s known me since I was a baby.

Strolling back to Next Door, we met the folks at Hay House…and I got distracted, started chatting for a moment with a girl who I recognized from the Spot Climbing Gym.

I talked a bit about how bad I was at climbing, and she mentioned there was a such a thing as climbing plus dancing. Climbing is, of course, naturally elegant—that is, if you’re a more agile, relaxed, stronger climber than I am. But making climbing as controlled and fluid as dance? That would be…beautiful.

Tonight, curious, I asked my good friend Google what climbing plus dance might look like, and this is what it showed me:
