This is the ninth of 108 tips to Livin’ the Moment. Let’s take back our lives one beautiful, funny and delicious moment at a time.

#9 of 108: Stoke Somebody!

“No exercise is better for the human heart than reaching down and lifting another up.”
~ John Andrew Holmes

People are always trying to tell you about their altruistic deeds…how they started a charity, donated a kidney, saved an orphan.

Most of us don’t have time, resources, or healthy enough kidneys to start charities, save orphans, and donate organs.

But…there’s a much more powerful action you can take to make the world a better place. And you can do it right now.

Make another human being feel awesome about himself. Today.

Whether it’s a relative, yoga teacher, old friend or random person on the street, say something nice to lift them up and alter the trajectory of their day.

Write an email, pick up the phone or just say something wonderful to the person next to you in yoga class.

There is nobody as spectacular and beloved as the person who always leaves you feeling stoked about yourself, your body, your work, your life.

As goes the quote by Maya Angelou,

“People never remember what you say, they never remember what you do, but they always remember how you made them feel.”

~
