Alicia Silverstone is the worst choice to sign this letter, she admits that does not follow a vegan diet and sometime "cheats" like if you can Cheat an your convictions and then come back. Shameless.

oh dear. i do not know, and do not feel up to googling pussy riot, however, i can’t see the use of criticizing alicia here. she said in her book that once on a great while at a party a piece of cheese or something like that will tempt her and she will try a bite, but that it makes her realize again how she doesn’t need that and is happy wih her vegan diet. she is trying to be helpful.

You know, once again, it would be much easier to take EJ seriously if it did not trade on constantly publishing pics of half-or-mostly-naked women. This is a soft porn site for hipster-spiritual-heads. There are plenty of ways to celebrate sexuality w/o stooping to selling images women's bodies to get people to read stuff. And the women who partake in this stuff (whether it be Silverstone in this case, or EJ itsaelf) may think they're being all cool and liberated, but that's just a naive participation in misogyny. It's hard to take seriously a site that sells women's bodies on one hand and then hypocritically complains about Akin and Ryan on the other. It's all of a piece: the careless treatment of female bodies.

It all just comes across as incredibly jejune and tiresome, regardless of the article.
