Is Your State Going Solar?

Cheaper installations of foreign-made solar panels are making solar competitive.

According to the Wall Street Journal, when Jimmy Carter installed a solar-powered water heating system in the White House in the late 1970s, solar panels cost $15 per watt of electricity generated, about $50 in current dollars!

Now they only average 84 cents a watt.

States like California have created subsidies for solar power developers in a genuine effort to cut greenhouse-gas emissions and fight climate change.

Is your state doing anything comparable?

From where I am writing in Nova Scotia, Canada, the province is turning steadily to wind power.
