Sick of all those fundraising emails in your inbox? Whether liberal or conservative, remember: small donations from citizens are far better for democracy than a $10 million check from a Koch Brother, or any one donor. The power of the people should be equal: one vote.
As for the title: “Obama’s top 5 contributors are the University of California, Microsoft, Google, DLA Piper and Harvard University. Romney’s top 5 contributors are Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley, Bank of America & Credit Suisse.”
I recently read an article that the Obama campaign is struggling this time ’round to get Wall Street donations because of Obama’s (too mild) new regulations following our national, Wall Street-leveraged financial collapse. Romney has no such problem.
Liberals ought to be too savvy to make perfect the enemy of the good. This is politics, and Obama has done much with litter fair weather liberal support.
