Romney up by Six Points Nationally over Obama before this happened.

Via on Oct 18, 2012

Yup. Romney’s presently up over Obama by six points in the latest Gallup Poll, nationally.

Yup.

Luckily for those of us who have a hard time with the notion of  a President Romney, the Gallup Poll was taken before this happened.

Waylon, this kind of news is disruptive – a sound bite that blasts a headline is often taken as "fact" – Here's the truth about that Gallup Poll: http://www.businessinsider.com/nate-silver-on-the

Let's not let another election be stollen.

The Gallup Poll is one of many polls, and if lazy liberals who, in your mind, don't know that, aren't paying attention, perhaps this will disrupt their complacency, and get them to pay attention!

And if you want to criticize headlines and soundbites, don't link to Business Insider, they're a joke. Link to journalism.

That said, amen, the Gallup is the outlier and every other poll shows Obama with a very slight advantage, and a still-healthy Electoral advantage. My point is that these cushions can swing quickly, as we've seen with both the first two debates. The time for vigilance is now!

And there is a lot of talk about how this current Gallup sample is much whiter than in previous polls, skewing it more than previous polls. 538 gives Obama, as of today, a 72% chance of winning.

    • elephantjournal says:

Right on! But 538 says Obama is favored…by 2% of the population, nationally. Anyone who thinks this is settled isn't paying attention. 19 days to go.
