A Cynical Man.
Reddit comment: “…Toledo is the home of Jeep. Willys started here and we’ve made them when the brand has been owned by Americans, French, Americans again, Germans, Americans again, and now Italians. Does he think we don’t read the paper? Chrysler is adding a shift and a model to the plant here! What was for decades the largest employer in the city spends $500 million on their plant and he doesn’t think we might have heard about it?” Click here for more.
This has been widely reported everywhere—Romney’s new and ongoing lies about Jeep in an effort to attack one of Obama’s pillars—the Auto Bailout & Recovery—and win some much needed working-class voters out of “the 47%” in this crucial swing state.
Too bad for Romney that jobs are more important to these voters, and knowing the truth about the present and future of said jobs, than whether Romney’s hair looks good. The truth still matters, even if you deliver lies in alpha attack mode, and look commanding doing so, the truth will still tell whether or not we have a strong economy, from the bottom, up, and top to bottom, come next year.
Chrysler Jeep responds to Romney ad: “Jeep assembly lines will remain in operation in the United States and will constitute the backbone of the brand. It is inaccurate to suggest anything different.” (blog.chryslerllc.com)
