“Vegan Style.” {Gangnam Video Parody}

2013-01-03 04.55.33 am

This just in from Department of Obscurity:

Gangnam Style has given inadvertent birth to a parody.

And it’s kind of fun, too, if you’ve ever rolled your eyes while someone less healthy than you explains how you need to eat more healthy. Oy.

“You don’t have to love them in order to not kill them. Just like you don’t kill people even though you’d love to shoot ‘em.”

Enjoy, and have fun.

Yours in stepping off the animals.

P.S., if you like a funny vegan video, watch this one now.

Karl was born under a frisbee moon in the back of a red cartoon pickup truck cruising route 66 at insane speeds. He immediately took the wheel, and telling everyone to calm down, pulled into an all-night gas station and liquor store, where he secured a handle of gin and a tall blonde companion. He has never, ever looked back.

    Is it better to be a conscious omnivore or a "vegan" who shops at WalMart? I've had some pretty great vegan cuisine, because I was working on a farm, and our diet was based primarily on food grown on the property, but I have ultimately come to the conclusion that conscious living is more important than residing on a pedestal of privileged socioeconomic virtue (and telling everyone about it).

    Thsnks for reading and replying, Chaz! Re your question, depends. If you ask a chicken living life standing on wires, or a pig, never once allowed to turn around, they would choose “Vegan!” I’ve found it doesn’t have to be one or the other. It is uncanny how offensive I can be, on this topic, without even trying.

      And if you were to ask a plant, it would choose life as well. It doesn't matter if the plant can "feel" or not, you are still killing a living thing. Here's an interesting article for the "plants can't feel" assertion: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/06/05/do-plant

      "read the China Study"…. I'd say the creators of this video, and anyone else who supports it, need to read the critiques of the China Study. Here's one: http://www.sciencebasedmedicine.org/index.php/the

      I can certainly agree that our agricultural industries need to be improved and if the creators of this video or anyone else want to be vegan, fine, more power to them. But as Chaz has already pointed out, it's better to live consciously than sit on a pedestal and blindly criticize those around you.

  3. I LOVE this video! …..this is vegan style….is now running through my vegan head!

    It made my day! my week! probably my year! Loved it!

    Glad to hear that, Tara. It is a good one, isn't it?

  6. Hahaha! So True, I think the creators of MSY follow the Soup Nazi service method. For those of you playing at home, watch the Soup Nazi episode of Seinfeld.
