Standing Backbend: A Yoga Poem.

Via on Mar 10, 2013

Kim

There is a city within my body
complete with noises,
angry motorists,
busy pedestrians,
smog,
violence,
poverty.

But
this city is human
in both its dark and light,
day and night,
outside and inside,
sometimes softened
by the night air
where stars shine down
on me.

Come city
lift up your chin
gaze upwards
know that you too
have the same stars
singing.

The city never sleeps.

Thanks. Poetry is not usually my venue.

  3. After I initially commented I appear to have clicked on the -Notify me when new comments are added- checkbox and now each time

a comment is added I receive 4 emails with the same comment.

Is there a means you are able to remove me from that service?

    Thank you!
