Last fall I lived in a yurt for two months while I worked on an organic farm near Asheville, North Carolina.

The couple that was hosting me gave me a book about living a fruitarian lifestyle.

I read it front to back and immediately began changing my eating habits.

They were even kind enough to buy me all of the organic fruit that I required for my new diet.

As a result, I wrote a song about fruitarianism called “Fruitarian Rapsody.”

It’s funny, it’s positive, and it’s about fruit! Please give your ears a listen:

This is AWESOME!!!! This song is a hit! Makes me want to go eat some organic fruit right now…

  2. Mmmmm, yes, makes me want to take a trip to the co-op now. In Asheville we have Green Life, Earthfare, and other food co-ops that do an outstanding job of providing the good people of Asheville with organic goodness, not to mention all of the fantastic farmer's markets.

To other listeners and readers of Elephant Journal: What city do you live in, and what are your favorite places to get organic food?
