Harnessing All of That Full Moon Energy.

The current blue moon will surely give you reason to pull out your pens and paper, and jot down your dreams.

They are potent right now.

It seems every one is feeling a sense of creativity, purpose, enlightenment and downright excitement. What is the best way to harness the full moon energy? Rituals.

A ritual can be any form of practice you choose and define. Whether you want to write past grievances down, burn them, then let them go—this is a big ritual of surrender.

Surrendering to what your actual path is calling.

It’s too comfortable to be on auto-pilot from here on out. This full moon energy (which, by the way, has been incredibly powerful the past few months!) is almost sucking the old life force out of us. It is asking us to rise to the occasion of true inspiration.

Who cares what anyone thinks of you?

The full moon is begging for you to be the best you can be as a person.

Beach rituals are another common theme during a full moon. First of all, you don’t have to deal with the obstruction of city lights all around. Witnessing the large blue orb all lit up, surrounded by every possible star as far as the eyes can see, now that is what I call “bliss”.

A moon ritual on the beach is probably happening somewhere in many parts of the world, for those who are lucky enough to have the coastline at their front door.

Harness that energy! Be grateful for what you have, your friends, your family and all that you have accomplished. It’s not over yet. There is more to be had.

This blue moon is a gift.

The biggest message for this time of year is creative inspiration. If you are an artist, musician, healer, blogger, writer or any other passion that requires more of the right brain thinking, this is your time. We all have the capacity to harness our creative spirits.

It isn’t what you do as a profession so much as who you are as a person.

Any nine-to-fiver has an inner muse asking to come forward and be given attention. Pay heed to it. We need more visionaries and edgy souls to continue to chart a path that gives the world something to think about.

Create your own ritual.

This “once every Blue Moon” energy will stick around for another five days. Every full moon has a waning and waxing period. The endings of past behaviors are ready to be shed. The emergence of everything you have cultivated over the course of the year is ready to pop. Try not to let it pass you by.

Open your journals. Have your pens ready.

Write until your heart speaks your truth. Then, follow it.
