Poor Lady Mary.
For real, I know this is a drama, but it still seems that season three of Downton Abbey was overly depressing.
I don’t think I was alone in my shock that Matthew was killed off (which, obviously, was the point as it was in the season finale).
Yet the thing is, that while it worked—I know that I’ll at least watch the first episode of this new season—it really turned me off from the show.
Again, I’m fully aware that this is a drama, but sheesh! There’s only so much of it that I can take, or at least enjoy viewing.
So I guess I’ll let you know when the Downton hoopla has officially begun whether or not I get sucked back into it too.
At this point, I’m not so sure.
