We are Irreplaceable. ~ Chrissie Keillor

I can never be replaced. I am one of a kind, unique and you can never find anyone like me.

Of course, you could find another yoga instructor. Or a blue eyed girl. Maybe even a daddy’s girl that enjoys the ocean. You can look for a girl who is loyal, trustworthy and honest but she won’t be.

You can (and I know you will because you are a determined Libra) try and fill the void in your heart of love with sex because that’s tangible to you. But it won’t work. Your heart will still ache for me because you cannot replace me.

You can try to forget about me by drowning your sorrows in the bottom of a bottle. You have before. But everyone knows, you can’t find love in the bottom of a bottle, baby. You’ll never find me.

Do you know where you can find me? Right where you left me, at the end of the pier in tears. I haven’t tried to replace you, why would I? I know what I know, and I know you are irreplaceable. I know what we had never amounts to anything we’ve previously experienced, separately. You and I also know that neither of us will find anyone else who loved each other as much as we did, but I suppose you aren’t there yet.

So we wait. We go on with our daily lives, falling in and out of love daily with insignificant people. We take separate breaths. Breathe in and out different lifestyles. We spend so much time apart that we become strangers, like that over-played song.

Or…maybe you never wanted a girl like me. Maybe your ego feeds off of broken hearts and souls, the insecure ones. Perhaps a girl with a 4 year degree on a spiritual path with no debt and no baggage (read: children or marriages) isn’t what you wanted after all. Maybe that’s why you cannot replace me, because you don’t want to.

So now what? I don’t know. The story hasn’t finished yet. I will go on with my lifestyle of yoga, sports medicine, healthy eating, minimal drinking and being family oriented. You are probably going to parade around trying to fill the void I left.

But I’ll tell you one thing that you have heard before: you will never find anyone that will love you as much as I did.

Therefore you will never find anyone like me.
