“Busty Mannequins & an Inflated Sense of Beauty in Venezuela.” ~ Laura Ashworth {Video}

Prepare yourself: things are about to get ugly.

In a passage from the video above, “Busty Mannequins and an Inflated Sense of Beauty in Venezuela,” a famed judge of Venezuelan beauty pageants, a man, says, “I say that inner beauty does not exist. That’s something that unpretty women invented to justify themselves.”

What?!

Basically, this man helps to create socially constructed ideas of beauty in Venezuela and takes pride in it. And that’s, well—the worst.

So here you go, try not to throw too many things at the computer while he’s talking.

And in defense of inner beauty—it does exist. This guy just clearly doesn’t have any. Too harsh? I don’t think so.

Remember, we are all beautiful, inside and out.

Don’t let this man tell you otherwise, Venezuela.
