We all need to row together, and joyfully, to get to the other shore.

I’m getting concerned about the dearth of male voices on elephant.

Often I feel like I’m reading anti-men articles, or articles just aimed at women, and worse, articles assuming our readership is female. We are largely female, readership-wise, and I’m proud of our community. But elephant needs to always be an inclusive place for women not just men, old not just young, poor not just affluent. I am not a believer in quotas or being PC, but if you have friends who are not elephanty–men, not affluent, who can share other personal stories and perspectives and wisdom than what we’re seeing—I’d be obliged.

We have a voice now–we just connected with 7 million readers over the last 30 days—let’s use it to share the human experience, not just the Whole Foods demographic of that experience. We are about uniting around common inspirations and goals: compassion, eco-responsibility, meditation, being present—these are spiritual attributes available to all of us.

Elephant is not a club. 😉

yours in the vision of Enlightened Society,

Waylon
