Shifting in Translation. ~ Tere Martini

This is my story

I am not ashamed to tell.
This is my flesh
This is my bone
Exposed
These are my wounds
In various stages of healing.
I would like to display them proudly

This is my heart
Bruised and battle weary
It feels fear
And yearns to be hidden away
Protected
Yet I want to share it
with you…
and you…
and you…

This is the life
That I show up for in every moment,
As a warrior
At times courageous
At times trembling
Laying down my preconceptions
I have shed my skin
Beneath is soft and tender flesh
Shaking, vulnerable and imperfect
But it is in this vulnerability
That I can empty of self

All that remains is openness

And it is in that great vastness

That I find the space to breathe

And fill once again.
