Waterproof. ~ Karla Stephany Paredes Barba {Poem}

romance

You never know how cracked you really are

until water pours in.

Like the time you tried to kiss me

and I held my mouth half-open in mid air

less than an inch away from your face,

in pure hesitation

gracing all my wounds.

Sometimes Love insists on soaking you,

and fear becomes waterproof.

But drought causes dust storms

that clear away the dirt.
