Quit Choosing Busy & Start Choosing what we Love.

Janne Robinson

I am sick of having people tell me they are “too busy” to do what they love.

All their wildest dreams, passions, and ideas sit covered in cobwebs while they run around in circles accomplishing nothing towards their calling.

Psssst, I’ve got a secret.

Doing what you love is easy.

The universe is a pretty fair woman. If you stare her dead in the eye and tell her your heart’s ambitions—she will make it happen.

You can’t tip toe around and speak quietly with her, she’s got a lot on her plate. But if you shoot from the hip to her and then wake up each day and make the choice to do what you love, she will help you speak it into existence.

In order to do what you love, and make money at what you love you must fully commit to that thing.

No one foot in, one foot out, sometimes or when you “have time.”

The key to doing what you love is to wake up each morning and choose it. Choose to create space to do it, choose to throw yourself with all your might into the belly of it.

That’s it, that’s all.

You will not become a writer if you don’t create space to pick up a pen. You will never become a painter if your color pallets collect dust in the basement. You aren’t getting any closer to mastering a head stand when you only make it to yoga once every two weeks.

“But I work 40 hours a week, have two kids, and commuting to and from my job each day takes two hours,” you say.

I currently work five jobs. I make space to write with those five jobs. Because what I love is the most deserving of my space, time and energy.

Is what you love, deserving of yours?

Why aren’t you doing it?

Fear, financial stress, lack of time, lack of energy?

Ever feel too exhausted to go to the gym? And on those days you do go, have you ever came home revitalized and full of energy? Because as contradicting as it seems, exerting energy gives you energy.

Instead of procrastinating with all your invented “busy” you choose each day, get your ass out the door and go do that thing you really love.

“And after all, if you do really like what you’re doing, it doesn’t matter what it is, you can eventually become a master of it. It’s the only way to become a master of something, to be really with it.”

~ Alan Watts

Doing what we love gives us energy. It feeds us. It’s like an effing cacao, hemp, chia, algae super smoothie for our soul.

The way to truly know that you love what you do, is when you can go to your job completely depleted and come home full of energy.

Make the choice to do what you love, or keep choosing “busy” and quit complaining.
