I am a lover of classic film.
I love movies like Key Largo, The Big Sleep, and Dark Passage. All the film noir stuff. One thing that makes these films so great is the magical on-screen chemistry between the lead actor and actress, Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall.
They were the Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie of another era. They smoldered together, on screen and off. The two of them married in 1945, and stayed married until Bogart passed away in 1957. Now, Bacall has passed as well, at the ripe old age of 89.
It’s been some time since she was much in the public eye (except for a recent Family Guy episode), but for film buffs like me, she will always be a treasure.
