Sitting on the meditation cushion,
There is a riot in my head,
Things were not going my way,
The ego had many things to say.
Thoughts of who is right
And who is wrong,
Hold steady and you will wonder,
Who is Who?
One minute I am the hero,
After that, a villain.
A feeling of fatigue comes,
As one scene after another,
Dances, behind closed eyes.
I peek at the clock and sigh,
It’s time to end this sitting
And give this human a hug.
